Hi and Welcome to Cedarhaven Farm. We are located in Southern Maryland. We started our herd as a 4H project for our 3 daughters about 15 years ago. We fell in love with those "loud, floppy eared goats”, and so began Cedarhaven Farm. We have one daughter that is still involved with 4H, one has gotten married and another is graduated high school and now attending college. That is okay with us, as the Nubians have become a great business for me and my husband. We originally started out with 3 registered Nubians that we bought out of Warrenton, Virginia. From there we have bought a few wonderful Nubians from Arlene Townsend at Breezy Acres and also a great little doe from Linda Singley at Bearlin Acres. I would also like to thank Anna Micciulla from Pennwood Farms for the most beautiful buck that I was able to purchase from her farm two years ago. We used him with all of the girls last year with wonderful spotted results. We are currently a CAE free herd and continue to test annually with WADDL. Our kidding season will be starting in June and we are looking forward to it.
We have taken up the great craft of soap making. What a wonderful way to use up the extra milk that comes from these beautiful animals. I hope to have the sales page up and running with paypal shortly. Thanks for your patience. We also enjoy dabbling in cheese making for ourselves.
